Eligibility: You have been accepted to an accredited college or university and are going to be enrolled full-time within the next six (6) months; OR you have been accepted to an optometry school and are going to be enrolled as a optometry student within the next six (6) months.
Submit: Write a 500-800 word essay on the following topics. (Read more on the scholarship provider's website).

Eligibility: Any high school junior or senior who has a medical condition, such as asthma, may apply for this scholarship.
Submit: To apply, tell us how your medical condition has affected your life and what your goals for the future are.

Eligibility: If you are currently enrolled in an academic program you are eligible to apply. If you are not a current student then you may still apply, but you will need to use the essay portion of the application to state how an internship in the particular department you select will benefit your professional goals and/or future academic goals. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent is generally expected (with withdrawals and incompletes explained). All applicants must register and submit an online application via the Smithsonian Online Academic Appointment system (SOLAA). Select "843 National Museum of the American Indian Internship Program" from the drop-down program list.
Submit: PERSONAL STATEMENT, OFFICIAL OR UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT, ONLINE APPLICATION, RESUME(2) LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION.

Eligibility: High school seniors passionate about science, technology, engineering, or math may apply.
Submit: To apply, please provide information about yourself and your vision for contributing to the world through your STEM career. Alternatively, you may share an experience of overcoming a challenge, including how it has shaped your character and the valuable insights you have gained from it.

Eligibility: Any high school senior or undergraduate student who’s an athlete with at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship.
Submit: To apply, tell us why you’re passionate about your sport, the role it plays in your life, and what sports have taught you about yourself.

Eligibility: High school seniors in the United States are eligible to apply for this scholarship if they:
Submit: Applicants will be required to submit two letters of recommendation from individuals (not family members) who can speak to the applicant’s education record and commitment to animal welfare. One letter of recommendation should be from someone working at the applicant’s school who can speak to the applicant’s abilities as a student, and the other from someone involved with or directly aware of efforts by the student to help protect animals. If selected as a finalist, the applicant will be required to supply confirmation of acceptance to a college or university prior to scholarship distribution.
