Some scholarships are offered based on personal interests, nationality, languages spoken, GPA, extracurricular activities, sports, and a lot more. First, make a list of your skills and traits. But wait, let’s backtrack. Every scholarship requires more than just the essay or tasks that are required, so create a folder with several copies of the following so you are prepared!

Eligibility: Must be a US-based high school senior of African descent (for example, African American, African, Ethiopian, etc.); planning to attend a four-year college or university; planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or select business programs (such as finance, business administration, or marketing); and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Submit: An online application, 1 letter of recommendation, resume, picture of yourself, transcript, and a 500-word essay.
